Your keep-on-hand shopping list

Doomsday home ↗

Use what you own. Build a few days of essentials first, then work toward two weeks at home.

Water is a baseline; add for pets and individual needs. Other suggested quantities are editable planning starting points, not official allowances. Household supplies need your own usage estimate.

Downloads and printing include everything still needed for the selected situation, even when the on-screen search hides it. “Have enough” and “Not needed” items stay off your shopping list.

How to use this list & important limits

Choose people and days. Set the quantity you want on hand; mark each item “Have enough” or “Not needed” when appropriate. Quantities normally follow household inputs; a quantity you edit stays fixed until you select “Use suggestion” on that item.

Download creates a small HTML checklist you can open in a browser without internet. Print / save PDF produces a reading and writing copy; PDF checkboxes are not interactive. Retailer and source links need internet. The full Offline Reader also includes this planner after you save the updated reader.

Your choices are stored on this device/browser when storage is available, shared with the Offline Reader on this website. They do not sync to another device and are separate from your existing website checklist. Clearing browser data removes them. Download a copy; anyone using this browser can see your choices. Avoid recording private medical details here.

Check stored supplies periodically. Follow expiration dates and device instructions. Replace water you bottled yourself every six months; use commercial water by its label date. Keep a paper copy somewhere accessible.

Safety: Do not buy generic pool shock as a shortcut for drinking-water treatment. Do not use household superglue to close wounds. Wipes are not wound disinfectant. Follow local emergency instructions and product labels.

Best effort: This planning aid may contain errors or omissions and is not medical advice or a guarantee of safety. Adapt it to your household and ask a qualified professional about medical equipment, medicines and hazardous work.

Amazon search links may earn a commission; comparison links are also provided. No purchase happens here, and prices or availability are not promised.

Check your battery plan Watts × hours, with room for losses

Enter a combined measured load and the hours it runs. This estimate does not check motor starting surge or medical-device compatibility. Read the full worksheet.

80% is an editable planning assumption, not a measured efficiency for your battery.
